Although there are some negative comments about these brushes from other people, they are actually nice, soft brushes. I have a large collection of them and they are great for the price! I have never had any trouble with them and they always give me the effect I am looking for! I use these for standard watercolor illustrations and my set has lasted in perfect condition for about half a year now without losing a single hair. I wash them after every use with brush soap and water.

I bought a couple of these brushes as an affordable alternative to other brands sold here. The first time I gave one a good flick to clean the water from the brush the entire brush head came off. Examining the second brush, I see the head is also loose. I will be returning these and spending the extra money on a better quality product. A very disappointing experience given the Winsor & Newton brand reputation.
