An Alternative to Ink Sticks

If you do not want to take the time to prepare your own ink with ink sticks, this ink provides a good alternative. It is dense enough to work almost as well. I added a few drops of gun arabic to improve its flow in a nib pen, but this is not absolutely necessary. Local art supply stores only carry the W & N black ink as part of a set, so I was glad to see that Blick carries it separately as well as in the set.

I have been using with metal calligraphy nibs dipped directly in ink for a wedding invitation job. Great flow, great color, I got the dark blue. Love it, great purchase!

The colors are bright. I use this product for broad edge calligraphy. Don't water down the blue capped colors. they are thinner than the red caps.
