Comments about Winsor & Newton Artists' Round Watercolor Brushes:
I was very disappointed with these brushes. For what supposedly are kolinsky sable and the high price I expected long lasting high quality. These brushes, however, seem soft and mushy and don't hold a point. I struggled with them for several sessions over a few weeks and they got worse. I then decided to purchase truly high-end brushes and return these. What a difference! I am now able to paint properly.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I am using theses brushes in watercolor and they are excellent, excellent, e cells t. They hold a fair amount of paint and handle well. I will replace my brushes with these as they wear out.

I recently used this brush to do detail work on a bird. It worked well, I'm very pleased with the quality.
I plan to buy more.
These brushes are expensive for me, even on sale, but they are a delight. You can't compare them directly to the same size number in other brands, because they are much larger, size for size.
Brush tip was bent but works good
from Bee Cave TX
Brush tip was bent due to packaging. It's good though I wish I ordered the pointed one. Kinda pricy, but I guess it's good.

I bought a #6 brush hoping it would feel right and be a nice detail brush. I will come back for more of this set.

I paint in oil and these brushes hardly loose hairs however; I wish the bigger sizes were less expensive.
from Sanida Park, NM
These brushes are great for every day painting. They function like a good brush should.

Fast shipping, but brush was not in wrap
By Love art
from Los Gatos, CA
It seems the brush is too soft to give a stroke on the paper.
