This series of professional quality watercolor brushes features specially selected Kolinsky sable fitted into seamless ferrules. The innovative contoured, double-bodied handle with a satin matte finish provides a comfortable, secure grip.

Excellent color carrying capacity, ability to point, and spring back into shape are noted features of the “new classic” watercolor brush series.

Artists' Watercolor Brush Pack — Quality Kolinsky sable brushes feature excellent point, belly, and spring, with superb color carrying capacity. The soft bristles are ideal for watercolor. Matte finish handles provide a comfortable, secure grip. These are professional quality brushes in popular head shapes to suit a broad range of needs and applications.

I am a new painter and asked a professional water colourist what brushes to choose for a beginner. First tip was to buy the best I could afford, and she recommended W & N brushes in sizees 8, 10 and 1/2 inch flat. I'm so glad I followed her advise, as the brushes you sent me are wonderful!!

This is my go-to brush ... it's the one I reach for first since you can go almost anything with it. I've used the same brush in a smaller size and wanted a second in a larger size. These brushes are worth every penny ... and this was was a great price.

You really can't beat this price! For four different type of WN Kolinsky brushes, I thought the price was fantastic. You save about have the money than buying each separately. The amount of water they hold is great and the feel of them is fantastic.

Not all Sable is equal

These promise to be great brushes, I mean hey look at the pictures they look awesome! I really liked the fatty handles on them as well. But They are horrible at painting.. wait, what? Yes they are horrible at doing the job they were designed for.
In the pictures they are lush and pointed, all the while promising to hold a lot of paint and paint a great line. Well I've found just the opposite. I originally wanted something for my larger projects that would give me a smooth paint job instead what I got is a brush that frays like a mohawk with day old hair spray and bed head. This is the bad part : the paint is pushed to the outside of the bristles on the canvas/miniature. So yeah it paints two lines instead of one and well I wouldn't say "line" I would say puddle of paint. The bristles are a little too soft for miniature painting and they really don't hold a great amount of paint. So my advice would be to skip them and go for the Raphaël Kolinsky Red Sable Fine Pointed Round brushes.

Since I first tried this brush(pointed round)about a year and a half ago, it's become one of my most frequently used brushes. i use the Pointed rounds specifically, and find that for my fine detail work they are superb. I use them with oil paint, which means they don't last very long, but with the beautifully fine point they come to they're ideal for me! I buy them in quantity now, and find although they don't last as long as the Raphael 8404's, they suit my work better.

I purchased four round brushes, and had one brush replaced because the ferrule became detached from the handle. The paint splits and chips off. I would not recommend this itam

I have a pointed round 8, a standard round 10 and the 1/2" onestroke. These brushes are a fantastic value--I just wish they came in larger sizes!

I love the extra length and sharp point of the pointed round in particular, and the standard round has a nice point, as well. Both come back to a point easily, and hold a lot of paint.

The onestroke is a nice, thirsty brush that is great for washes, with good spring. The 1" is a good size for a lot of things, and I'm reaching for it often.

I recommend these brushes to anyone looking for a great brush at a great price. Time will tell, but so far they are as nice as my more expensive brushes, plus I love the handles, too. If you're wondering if these brushes are worth getting, don't hesitate--they are.
