Weber wOil Water Mixable Artist Oil Colors have a very smooth, buttery consistency with a medium-body to heavy-body viscosity that can be used directly from the tube, thinned with water, or blended with traditional oil colors, mediums, and acrylic-based colors.
Considered "permanent" for artists' use, all wOil colors have a lightfastness rating of I or II. When wOil colors are thinned with water, the water evaporates from the paint film fairly rapidly, leaving behind a traditional film of oil that dries by oxidation. The reflective quality of the wOil film and drying times vary from color to color.
Weber wOil colors generally dry within three to five days, which is slightly faster than traditional oil colors.
Weber wOil Artist Oil Colors are ideal for studio or classroom use.
Reflective of the breakthrough "green" chemistry employed in the development of wOil Artist Oil Colors, all colors are AP non-toxic.

Not the Best When it Comes to Water Mixable Oils
Comments about Weber wOil Water Mixable Artist Oil Colors:
Although Weber is very reasonably priced and has a good color range, they just aren't even close to being one of the best Water Mixable paints out there. They are just too "gummy" when trying to add water to thin. Cobra is by far the best. They handle almost identically to traditional oils and solvents when thinning with water, they are perfectly soft in viscosity, and dry to a luscious sheen. Second best is the Holbein Aqua Duo, but Cobra is better and less expensive.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Really great paints at an awesome price!
from Shallotte, NC
These paints are nice and thick but thin down easily. I had used some of the cheaper brand regular oils before,..but these water mixable oils seem much better to me. Easy to blend,..good selection of colors too! Cleans up easily.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

from Midland MI
I had been using one companies water soluble oil paint for a number of years and when I found that this product was available at a lower price I thought I'd give it a try. I'm very pleased with the texture and color. It's every but as good as the high priced paint.

Definitely not "artist" quality
from Dallas TX
I've been using Grumbacher Water Mixable Oils for a long time, and decided to try these, since they were labeled "artist". Colors are washed out, bland and my painting looked like I used some two dollar student paints.I realize there ARE good deals for oil paints (such as Utrecht), but these wOils are so bland and colorless I'd recommend any other brand over them.

Great Product, Great Value

These paints perform very well in every way my work requires.
I thought I loved Weber oils before!
from Dryden, Mi
The water mixable oils are used just like the regular oils but you don't have to worry about the toxic add ons or clean up! That is wonderful!
Different material used
from Forest Grove, Oregon
I use this product for painting landscapes. Best thing about it is clean up, esp. if mistakenly dripped onto carpet, etc. Easy water clean up, no mistaken staining. The one thing I think not so great about it, for me, is that it is thinner, looser, than oil paint, so I can't pile up areas. But its other good qualities make up for that.

This company makes very nice Wm oil paints. The texture and pigment concentration is very nice. Pleasantly surprised about this. I had one tube that was a bit thick and sticky but the other ones were fine. They don't clean up with soap and warm water. I also bought the quick dry medium and the gel medium. Both are fantastic and water mixable too! Not all of their paints are perfect but for the price you must give these a try.
