Weber wOil Water Mixable Artist Oil Colors have a very smooth, buttery consistency with a medium-body to heavy-body viscosity that can be used directly from the tube, thinned with water, or blended with traditional oil colors, mediums, and acrylic-based colors.

Considered "permanent" for artists' use, all wOil colors have a lightfastness rating of I or II. When wOil colors are thinned with water, the water evaporates from the paint film fairly rapidly, leaving behind a traditional film of oil that dries by oxidation. The reflective quality of the wOil film and drying times vary from color to color.

Weber wOil colors generally dry within three to five days, which is slightly faster than traditional oil colors.

Weber wOil Artist Oil Colors are ideal for studio or classroom use.

Reflective of the breakthrough "green" chemistry employed in the development of wOil Artist Oil Colors, all colors are AP non-toxic.

W oils are EXCELLENT! The paint feels very similar to Holbein Duo but it's a lot cheaper! The colors are gorgeous & bright and the blending is effortless. The Permanent Alizarin in this brand is superior to any other water soluble oil paint and I've tried them all. I am switching many of the colors I use to the W Oil brand as I am VERY impressed with their combination of quality and value. I'd like to thank Blick for adding this brand to their site!

Comes out of the tube with a consistency of frozen toothpaste. It does not mix well with water. The paint has a gritty feel to it, and is very hard on brushes. It is also hard to clean brushes contaminated with it.

Save your money!

I've tried every brand of water soluble oils out there and was a little hesitant to try Weber wOils at first as I questioned how good the quality would be. But my concerns weren't justified. This is a quality product. Though this brand isn't not quite at the level of Grumbacher Max and Holbein Duo, it's a very nice, soft, blendable paint that I enjoyed working with. The colors I tried were all great. Plus the price is right. I will be adding more colors from this range to my palette!
