Weber wOil Water Mixable Artist Oil Colors have a very smooth, buttery consistency with a medium-body to heavy-body viscosity that can be used directly from the tube, thinned with water, or blended with traditional oil colors, mediums, and acrylic-based colors.

Considered "permanent" for artists' use, all wOil colors have a lightfastness rating of I or II. When wOil colors are thinned with water, the water evaporates from the paint film fairly rapidly, leaving behind a traditional film of oil that dries by oxidation. The reflective quality of the wOil film and drying times vary from color to color.

Weber wOil colors generally dry within three to five days, which is slightly faster than traditional oil colors.

Weber wOil Artist Oil Colors are ideal for studio or classroom use.

Reflective of the breakthrough "green" chemistry employed in the development of wOil Artist Oil Colors, all colors are AP non-toxic.

i am new to oil painting and was worried about all the chemicals involved. I bought some traditional oils, but was unhappy with the thinner and chemical smells and clean-up involved before finding water-mixable oils.
Tried a couple of other water mixable oils brands and was not happy with stiffness, then found Woils and have fallen in love with them.
it is a very easy clean up with soap and water.
it has a very smooth, buttery texture to the paint. not hard like some of the others i've tried.
very easy to mix together and use, colors stay very bright and clear.
like that when i photograph my in-work and completed paintings the colors remain beautiful even in digital form.
I have gotten the water-mixable linseed oil from Woils and the water-mixable thinner from winsor&newton because i could not find water-mixable thinner from Woils (though i am still looking for it.)
great stuff,tell everyone i know about it.
am thankful that dickblick carries Woils (am greatful that dickblick carries the larger tubes.)

I'm new to painting and was very tentative about which oils to purchase; I knew I wanted water mixable, however, and have been DELIGHTED with wOils... they make every stroke of the brush inspiring. I truly believe God led me to make this purchase... keep up the great product, guys!

Weber Woils are smooth, easy to blend, lightfast, nontoxic, economical, beautiful, and made in the USA! How can you top that? I love using Woils in conjunction with Grumbacher Max (also made in the USA). I paint professionally in oils and I get the best results with these two brands. I am happy that many of the Woils are available in extra large tubes so I get more for my money. This is not an option with Max. Some of the Woils that I like and use the most: Dioxazine Purple (darker & richer than Max), Alizarin Crimson Permanent (excellent choice to replace badly fading Alizarin Crimson), Raw Umber (again darker & richer than Max), and French Ultramarine blue. Would love to see Phthalo Blue, Phthalo Green, and Rose Permanent available in the 150ml tubes! (Hint hint!)

This product is superior in quality to the similarly priced Winsor & Newton Artisan.

This is the best paint I've ever tried, the colors are gorgeous and cover really good. I've used Winsor and Newton, Cobra, Vangogh and I have to say this is the most professional-quality paint. The paint is smooth and easy to use compared to the others. After I received this paint I feel so inspired to create anything on my canvas, the colors are so beautiful.

W-oils are excellent! I mix mine with a little bit of water soluble linseed oil and to me they are easier to use than Winsor & Newton Artisan. I also appreciate the fact that you can buy large tubes. I say, buy some!

Weber W oils are a nice brand of water mixable oil paint at a good price. They are smooth and the colors are nice. These paints may not be quite at the quality level of Grumbacher Max but they are particularly excellent for students or for practicing. Good for underpaintings too. I also really enjoy their Permanent Alizarin.

I was very happy with this paint. It has a nice consistency. It handles well (its not really stiff like some of the water solubles), it has a good pigment load, is non-toxic, and is a great price. I'm going to buy more. The negative review mentioned that it was hard to clean the brushes. You do need to use some soap when you are done. Water won't completely clean them.
