Welcome to dickblick
Utrecht Tuscan Synthetic Brushes are made by skilled craftsmen who carefully blend a variety of silky filaments, then hand set, interlock, tie, glue, and trim them to ensure lasting performance.
Features of the Utrecht Tuscan Brushes include superior shape retention, a springy rebound, and good color-holding capacity. Every kiln-dried beechwood handle is stained a deep red color that echoes the color of the rustic synthetic brush hair.
These semi-firm brushes can be used with both oil and acrylic paints. Ideal for creating smooth strokes, soft blending, transitions, and details, they can also be used for glazing and varnishing. They are also a great choice for fluid or medium-body mediums.
Brush sizes — The length and width of a brush of a given shape and size may vary by manufacturer as brush sizes are not standardized. Since fine art brushes are handmade, expect some variation even among brushes from within a single brush line.

Great fluid acrylic brush
from N. California
Comments about Utrecht Art Utrecht Tuscan Synthetic Brushes:
I'm painting murals in thick-fluid acrylics with this brush. I'm using the 1", 1/2" and 1/4". Love the amount of paint they hold, the durability, and spring. I'm usually not a huge fan of synthetics, but these beat out any brush I'm now using with this paint. Would definitely buy again.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Utrecht Tuscan Synthetic Bright:
I paint with acrylics and this brush is perfect for them as the bristles are firm and snap right back. I have no cons. Thanks!
Nice, affordable brushes
A nice option for an affordable synthetic brush for oils or acrylics. I prefer synthetic brushes when painting on panels and these are holding up well.
This brush is a "must try" brush!

Comments about Utrecht Tuscan Synthetic Filbert:
I love the way the paint flows off the brush when I am painting in oil. I find this brush is also easier to clean than my other brushes. That's a plus for me! I think it is a great brush and I will certainly buy more. I highly recommend giving it a try.

Brush keeps sharp point even with thick oil paint.

Very nice quality
First time to use this brand of brush.
This is the first Utrecht brush I've used and it seems very nice and the quality and craftsmanship is good. Haven't used it very long, so I will see how it wears in time. I like the balance in stiffness and spring.

Best brushes I've used
from Newton, MA
Comments about Utrecht Tuscan Synthetic Flat:
These are the best brushed I've found!! They hold their shape over repeated use, multiple paintings, multiple washings. Have never before experienced a brush that is this resilient and durable while also being nicely shaped, soft and pliable. excellent!
