Good Bulk Tube for Parcelling Pigment Into Dry Projects
By Kim Lieu the deconstrctionist
from San Jose, CA
Comments about Utrecht Art Utrecht Studio Series Oils:
A manqué would do better to have less paint but I appreciate that I can buy the big tubes of Blick Studio edition paint because they are the highest of quality. I use the bulk amount in small increments when I add them into stored tins of naturalist lotions/body butters/conditioners/hair gel/foreclosed store body care products, etc... because those always go on sale first and I can carve/sand a bit of cooked ceramic pottery/stone tile and spray a alcohol deodorant into it when I mix it with the Blick Studio Series oil paint and add it all to the naturalist products from sales/foreclosures as its' base to increase my profit or I can refill pencils with this product when I take the core out of cheap 99 cent store pencils packs after using a knife to vertically cut the wood case open, I refill the innards, and superglue the two sides of the wood case back together for my designer pencil that I was able to make fairly cheaply with the bulk size paint herein.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Utrect Studio oils white
from Camino CA
Very nice studio white, covers well and is nice and bright. All Utrect colors I have tried preform very well.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
It's a fantastic oil paint to use!
Bright and colorful. I would recommend using this brand for painting as well as experimenting. Perfect for school or elsewhere. It does tends to get glossy with mediums, but the paints; when dried, last a long time.

Studio series oil. Indian Red 200 ml
from San Francisco, CA
The pigment and oil are separated.
Merchant response: Thank you for your feedback! Oil separation is not uncommon, and doesn't impact the quality of the paint. Just drain the excess oil from the top of the tube onto a paper towel, and it's ready to use! It's the Painters Paint!
By Sir David
from Stanhope,nw jersey
The consistency of the paint is what's important when intermixing, There is the same feel to the brush with less palette time mixing. It also comes off the brush in wonderful strokes every time.

Good bang for the buck
from New Paltz, NY
Let me start by saying that on a good day I go through the equivalent of two 150ml tubes of oil paint, much of it thinned with medium. I paint on big canvasses and I also do big oil sketches on Arches huile oil painting paper. I want to cover the surface quickly. That's what I use this stuff for. It's about half as nice as the "Artists' Colors" series (which I also think is a fantastic value). And less than half the price. The "Studio Series" decidedly lacks richness, transparency, and bling, but I can squeeze those tubes and take big brushfulls of paint to the canvas without fearing that I'm wasting good paint. Once I reach the stage where I'm painting important parts of what will actually remain on the surface of the painting, I switch to better quality paint.

These oil paints handle well. You could almost use straight from the tube with no thinning agent. Pigments are strong. Once dry, the colors do not fade.
