Welcome to dickblick
This fast-drying diazo-photopolymer, dual-cure emulsion provides unequalled exposure latitude, even if underexposed and used with aggressive inks and solvents.
This emulsion has superb coating properties and durability, and is resistant to all water-based UV-cured and solvent-based inks.
It is for general graphics, textile, and industrial applications. Its color changes from blue to light green when sensitized.

good for beginners
i've used speedball in the past, didn't have a great outcome from it. but it was my first time, sadly, with the not so great results, i gave up on the whole hobby for over a decade. So here i am still a novice, trying it again. This emulsion i recommend to any beginner, and grab at least a quart. As you will read elsewhere, dual cure emulsion is forgiving. my first attempt with no preset time, came out actually decent. The second attempt, i did with an emulsion calculator. I exposed for 20 minutes, and found that it truely is flexible in its exposure times. even the artwork on the outside of the calculator that was exposed for the full 20 minutes came out excellent. In the end 9.5 to 10.5 min did it, under 500w light from 15inch away from base. I will be using this product for a long time.
Great for my printmaking class. Easy to coat screens, forgiving exposure time. Holds up well against acrylic inks and comes off easily with a power washer.

Yeah so I have a exposure unit I built with 4 500 watt lamps that I got from a production company. Im burning screens in 45 sec and the come out fresh. Cleaning emulsion off with my pressure washer and fast reclaim . Works great. I have about 50 screens and the ones with the blue relaim way quicker. I don't think the a hose will do the trick. Sorry for you guys with a yu do and a garden hose.

Seems pretty good
from Trenton, NJ
I'm exposing this emulsion on a Yudu machine and works fairly well. Exposure time I use is 2.5 to 3 minutes and the stencil rinses out with no problem. I do have a little trouble reclaiming the screens afterwards though, but I may need to use stronger chemicals to get some of it out around the edge of the screen. Not really sure. Degreaser may help too.
