Tri-Art’s non-stick palette is perfect for the acrylic artist. Just peel off any dried acrylic paint to reveal a clean working surface.
The palette can also be used for water-based and oil-based printing inks, tempera paint, oil paints, alkyds, and gouache; only acrylic paint will peel off, however.
It’s lightweight, reusable, easy to store and will not warp or crack over time. Use it as an economical and environmentally sound alternative to disposable, metal, wood, or plastic palettes.

Biggest Palette I've Ever Seen
from Philadelphia, PA
Comments about Tri-Art Non-Stick Palette:
I had to return this palette because it was too big and wouldn't fit on the small table next to my easel. Nonetheless, the return was quick and painless. Highly recommend Blick!

I love this pallet. You just smear the paint out when you are finished, let it dry, and it peels right off. Do not scrape it with a metal pallet knife to get it off though because once it gets really scratched up it becomes hard to peel off the paint

I love this palette, I use it with acrylics and it does the job well. I also use it as a support to work on sometimes. Practical, easy to clean and much better than disposables things.
I would buy this product again and recommended it to my stud

I use this product to mix my acrylic paints. After each use, I only allow paint to dry and then peel it off. No cleaning mess.

This palette works very well with thick layers of dried acrylic paint - just peel it off!For thinner layers of dried paint, take some of the thicker paint you have peeled off, and rub over it. Surface scratches easily so refrain from using sharp objects to peel paint off - not that it is required.Been using it in the studio for a few months. This is the best palette I have come across in my 15 years of using acrylic paints.

my favorite palette for acrylic paint
By art teacher
from Toronto, ON
I've been using this palette for years, in my workshops and studio, and I know that Quality Acrylic Paints do not stick to it. however, if the paint is a brittle and cheap acrylic, it will jsut flake off anyways. I like that it is a large palette, a great shape for Acrylic skins! acrylic skins need to be fairly thick (thin skins just dont work as well!). If leftover thin paint seems difficult to peel off, use warm water to soften and wipe away. It is best not to scrap the palette with a metal palette knife (it will scratch it!). If I have a lot of small and thin areas of dried paint all over it, I will either use warm water, or just apply a layer of polymer medium all over and when it's dry, peel it away in one whole skin. I have been using the same palette for 4 years now and it still looks brand new when I clean it! ;-)I try to be as environmentally friendly as I can be in my studio, which means not using disposable palettes (which are just wasteful), and I feel that reusing the acrylic skins for experimental works is a much better solution than rinsing paint down the drain, or throwing it in the garbage.

It may not be peelable, but it is scrapeable. Use a paint knife and the dried acrylic comes up very easily. A lot of satisfaction in scraping it off -- sort of therapeutic. I've used mine over and over, and when it wears out, I'll buy another.

Scrape-able, rather than peel-able, is the way I would describe this item. Using my thumbnail for about half an hour, I was able to remove some dried acrylic. Then I gave up. Blick's no hassle satisfaction guarantee was a welcome antidote to my dissatisfaction. Price refunded with a minimum of fuss.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
