Tri-Art's High Finest Quality Artist Acrylics are premium quality artist paints designed to satisfy the most discerning artists. Their unique consistency allows for bold impasto effects that are normally associated only with oil colors.
Tri-Art acrylics have a smooth, buttery texture that retains brush and knife marks, yet is not stiff or difficult to manipulate. They are manufactured with 100% pure acrylic emulsion, producing a tough yet flexible film with excellent resistance to water, chemicals, light, and ultraviolet radiation.
Only the highest quality pigments, selected for purity and lightfastness, are used. Because no fillers or extenders are used, most colors dry to a natural gloss, while those with larger pigment particles create a more satin finish.
Note — Use this color chart as an approximation of the real color. If exact color matching is necessary, use actual samples of the materials.
Comments about Tri-Art Finest Quality Artist Acrylics:
I tried a few colors on a whim. They are really nice to work with. I've noticed lately that some of the leading brands (you know them) seem to be getting worse, as if they're adding more water or binders or something. I don't know but they've changed for the worse somewhat. The TriArt paints seem to have more pigment. they are rich. They seem to have a bit more open time before they dry and the colors don't darken nearly as much as other acrylics when they do dry. Much more like a traditional oil paint which I like. The product is great. I'd love to redesign their packaging because it doesn't nearly do justice to this wonderful brand from our friends in Kingston, Ontario. Perhaps it's a tradition they like or something but the packaging is so bad it's almost off-putting. What is inside the ugly packaging however, is terrific. Last but not least: Virtually no one in the United States stocks these. Please Dick Blick. Start making TriArt products available in your stores. They're great to work with and I think tons of artists who paint with acrylics would agree.

Tri-Art has some uique colors and an interesting consistency. It's kind of hard to describe, but Tri-Art seems to keep more translucency in thick layers than some of the other brands. I especially like it for creating textured paint surfaces with a painting knife. If you are a knife painter, these are definitely worth a try. Of course it's fine with a brush too. I first bought these in tubes, which I think are only available in Canada. But the jars are the same quality, and it's easier to get all the paint out.

Although these are not the only brand of acrylics I use, they have a few colors you can't get anywhere else. They are easy to use and work fine with other brands.

This is the McCoy! The pigmentations in this particular brand of acrylic paint are unsurpassed in quality. The versatile nature of these high viscosity paints makes for a fun and rewarding experience. When using these, one can mimic working in either medium (water or oil) simply by varying the amount of water mixed.
At times they may seem a bit pricy, but then again, their quality stands alone. The results achieved by using these paints as opposed to other brands can be extraordinary. As a veteran artist of 40+ years, I highly recommend these paints to both the professional and the novice alike.

Comments about Tri-Art Finest Quality Artist Acrylics:
Hi, I enjoy using this product. However, when I use the tubes I always have a problem with the screw tops cracking or breaking. This irritating because the paint leaks out or the top part dries out. I've been known to use duct tape to hold the screw top together. For this reason I find myself avoiding this product. This is my only complaint, otherwise the product is great.
