Tri-Art's Finest Liquid Acrylics provide the artist with a self leveling, fluid paint ideal for high detail, glazing, and watercolor-like techniques, without sacrificing color strength or permanence. Only the highest quality color pigments, which have been selected for purity and lightfastness, are used.
All Tri-Art acrylics are manufactured with 100% pure acrylic emulsion. New colors, with drastically improved permanence, have been chosen to mimic the rich, transparent hues of older lake pigments.
All colors have very good to excellent resistance to fading. As with other Tri-Art acrylics, each color in the line has been formulated to achieve the maximum pigment concentration and color strength consistent with good handling properties and stability. Because no fillers or extenders are used, most colors dry to a natural gloss. Those with larger pigment particles create a more satin finish.
Colors will not separate or settle in the jar. They can be readily mixed with Tri-Art mediums at any ratio, or with up to 50% water for increased transparency and economy. The paint film dries to a flexible, water fast, and lightfast finish. The adhesive and waterfast properties of Tri-Art Liquid Acrylics make them an obvious choice for painting and printing on fabric.
Color Chart Note — Use this color chart as an approximation of the real color. If exact color matching is necessary, use actual samples of the materials.
All Tri-Art products are compatible with each other and can be mixed or interchanged according to the artist’s desired technique. To thin, use Tri-Art Acrylic Mediums, or water. Do not mix with oils, mineral spirits or turpentine.
Tri-Art acrylics will adhere very well to most surfaces. Adhesion to non-absorbent surfaces will be improved if the surface is roughened first with sandpaper or steel wool.
Tri-Art acrylic will not adhere well to oily or greasy surfaces. Keep brushes and tools wet during use and clean with soap and water after use.

Comparable to Golden Fluid Acrylics-better is some ways!
from Massanutten, VA
Comments about Tri-Art Finest Liquid Artist Acrylics:
I am an abstract painter and primarily use Golden products. Decided to give these paints a try after reading a review in an art mag. Very happy that i did so! They are less expensive than other fluid acrylics yet artist quality. I purchased 7 different colors on blick and was able to use the coupon (making them an even better deal). They are a bit heavier than golden fluids, they will hold a brush stroke but not as thick as heavy body. Can be thinned easily with water if you want a thinner consistency. They are highly pigmented and a little goes a long way! Very impressed.

Use Every Day
from Skokie IL
I use my paints fairly thin. This brand holds up well for glazing purposes. Colors are vibrant. Texture is never gummy. The only problem I have with them is that the tips constantly clog and drip.

Love the shimmer it adds to my paintings. I haven't used anything I liked as well.

The color is wonderfully vivid, which is exactly what was advertized and what I wanted.

I read a good review of these on an artists' forum, and after seeing the positive reviews here as well, thought I would try one color. The color I chose to try, Naples Yellow Hue, is one that I rely on for a convenient skin tone base.I have read two reviews here stating that the colors _don't_ darken, so I'm confused as to the basis of comparison. Perhaps some of their colors are worse than others; I only tried one. However in my experience, darkening doesn't happen, period, with artist quality paints. For over ten years I have used mostly Liquitex, and of course it does not darken as it dries. I tried a couple other brands this time, including the Blick brand (nice) and Winsor & Newton which I've used before--neither dries darker. This on the other hand, while priced as though an artist's quality paint, darkens just like a cheap craft paint. If I can say anything positive it's that it has a nice consistency, and good coverage. If you are painting craft items that don't require mixing of colors, you might not mind the darkening. You can spread it for miles over flat, monochrome-designated surfaces. But I take exception to the labeling of this as an artists' paint, and pricing it as such!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Merchant response: We are sorry to hear that this color did not meet your expectations. We have reviewed are description to ensure we have not stated that these paints will not have color shift from wet to dry. Our Experts recommend painting test swatches prior to painting. This allows you to see the working properties of the paint and the final result without compromise to your work. We will pass your comments on to our Product Manager for review.
Keep Running Out. So I Ordered Again
By Portrait Painter
I do very detailed work, so using acrylics from a tube is very time consuming due to the fact that I have to keep constantly thinning the paint. The Tri-Art paints flow right out of the bottles ready for work. The colors are bright and true and the paint consistency is perfect.

Love these paints
By Pet Portrait Artist

I've been using these paints for sevearl years now. I do a lot of glazing and these hold up well. Tube paints make the constant thinning process very time consuming.I'm sorry that Blick no longer carries these in their stores. Very likely I will be buying them from other sources in the future.

I'm a novice painter at best, but getting better with every try. I have to say these paints have finally let me paint the way I want to, I just had no idea this was what was going to work for me, so I took a chance on them. The colors are nothing short of brilliant, even thin glazes hold true after drying. No muddy darkening or anything like that with the old student level paints I was using. They seem expensive but a little goes a long way when using the various mediums with them. I love all the mediums but the glazing medium is definitely a favorite so far.
Tri-Art Finest Quality Liquid Acrylic Colors are a professional grade paint offering incredibly high pigment load with a lotion-like consistency. These lush colors are designed to be used full strength for high saturation, or extended with acrylic mediums for a variety of textures and applications. These aren't your standard liquid acrylic paints -- watch this video to see why.
