Travels with Monet

Follow the life journey of legendary artist Claude Monet, one of the founding fathers of Impressionism.

Travels with Monet is written in the style of a travel journal and gives a true story of Monet's life, his family, his travels, his four Impressionist principles, and his later years. The book is an adventure from beginning to end and features many Monet paintings as well as those of other artists from the period. Every page covers subjects Monet loved — water and seascapes, trains and train stations, flower gardens and landscapes, cathedrals, villages, and people.

The book is filled with unusual stories and facts students might not know, along with ideas for art activities and a special two-page "Activity Pond" that helps students emulate the style of Monet as well as his subjects.
