Comments about Torino Aluminum Easel:
I have been oil painting forever and finally, a nice big sturdy easel for a reasonable price has made it to my studio. What can I say, other than it is very well made and a snap to assemble. I never liked using those bulky wooden easels and my studio space is somewhat cramped, so I always chose the slimline metal easels. This easel is much heavier than I expected and very smart looking, plus it does not have a big footprint. It holds the larger 1 1/2" deep canvases I use with ease, letting me paint with confidence despite being a metal easel. I am very happy and will buy a second one of these when I expand my studio space.

I've been using this easel for a week now. It's easy to assemble. It's very light. Easy to move around. It holds the canvas very well. Great value. I highly recommend it.

Saved me from buying a new easel
I had received the Torino easel several years ago from my older son who shares my artistic bent and now co-owns an ornamental iron business. I had decided to use a 4 ft. x 20" stretcher built by my husband who builds pretty much anything and everything. I wanted to try to duplicate the look of a model wearing satin and silks in an oil painting. The easel was fully extended and we had even contemplated building an extension so I could reach the bottom of the canvas easily, when I search my favorite art supplier (and you know who that is!) and found the perfect extension. I'm almost finished with the painting and have sent a photo. I'm pretty happy with it but need to finish the head of the model who is looking away but wanted to get the fabric close to finished. I just need to add the highlights to the red drapery after that, but it's still a bit wet. Thanks for saving my bacon,Dick Blick!

I bought my first Torino easel as a beginning oil painting student and have love them ever since. You can't go wrong. They are sturdy, light weight, versatile. I can't say enough good things about them. I also have wooden easels, but this is my work horse.

I've purchased dozens of these for our company's professional artwork exhibits. They're easy to transport and set up, and they can really take a beating! A very reliable product.
