Welcome to dickblick
After 30 years as a watercolorist, Tom Lynch set out to design a palette that would be stable, easy to clean, and sturdy enough for the demands of working in the studio.
As a result, Lynch's palette is weightier at 7 lbs to prevent slipping and sliding. The porcelain surface keeps colors moist longer, and, unlike plastic, won't cause them to bead and separate.
Tom Lynch's palette includes 20 outer wells for color, a large mixing area, and 8 corner holes. A large plastic cover provides extra mixing space and storage.

Colors show on the palette with great clarity and easy clean up leaves no residue. Not crazy about the lid. Did not receive enough of the insulation tape and had to replace with foam weather stripping.
Love the Porcelain Surface
By Becky Eileen
from San Antonio, Tx
I am fairly new to watercolor, and I hated how the puddles of paint I was mixing always seemed to bead up on the surface of my plastic palette. I had heard that a porcelain surface does not bead up, and it's SO true! This particular palette is great because of the large mixing area in the center, and the many wells around the outside to hold all my different paint colors. I plan to use this palette for many years!
Heavy durable palette
Paints mix and flows elegantly! Must have for studio! Easy clean up by just a wipe! Comes with plastic lid which I think is better than having another heavy porcelain lid. So the plastic lid won't damage the palette it self!

This is a heavy, beautiful porcelain palette. A treat. Definitely a splurge. This is a studio palette - it's heavy and not portable. Because of the weight of it, it does not move around on the table when you're mixing paints:) My only negative comment would be that the holes in the corners which are designed for you to stand your brushes in upside down while working aren't quite big enough to use for a variety of sizes. Only smaller brushes fit in them.

Quality Porcelain Watercolor Palette
from Kennewick, WA
It is pricey, and heavy, and ...very nice. Fitting foam tape on plastic cover is a chore. Not quite sure the best approach. Would like to see maker do a YouTube video of fitting the foam in place. Overall, an excellent pallete.

This palette is big and solid with really good-sized wells for paint. I think it's a great addition, however I wish they had added extra well instead of the silly holes in the corners for brushes.

Worth the investment!
By Intuitive Painter

At first I thought that it was quite expensive to be purchasing a watercolor palette for this price, but after using it for the past 6 months, I can honestly say that the splurge was worth every penny. It allows for the colors to be mixed accurately and the surface both for mixing and clean up is wonderful. My only wish is that they mixed up the spaces a bit for colors that are used more often and those that are used only once in awhile. Other than that, highly recommended!
I love everything about it!
I really love it. I have many palettes but this is by far my favorite.
The ultimate Palette!
By Lucky Porcelain Palette Owner!
This must be the ultimate palette! Sheer luxury, solid and sturdy, heavy to carry but ideal for use in one place. The paint moves beautifully smooth without beading on the surface. Extremely easy to clean, just wipe clean with paper towel; the paint does not stain the surface. The wells are deep enough. I ordered it all the way from USA to Queensland, Australia, and I received it securely packaged and intact. A real investment if you are serious about watercolour painting. Highly recommended!
