Every plein air painter and on-location artist should own The Original Stick Chair! This incredibly lightweight, patented chair is the perfect portable seating solution for art fairs, museum-going, and, of course, making art in the great outdoors. It can even do double-duty as a walking stick.
The Original Stick Chair is portable in every sense of the word. Weighing just 1½ lb, it pops open instantly whenever and wherever you need to sit and accommodates a leaning force of up to 300 lb. Ideal for painting and drawing, it keeps your weight evenly balanced and your view at eye-level as you become the steady tripod.
The Original Stick Chair is easy to use. Simply release the elasticized strap, unfold the seat, and plant the steel tip in any soft surface such as grass, earth, or sand. Then angle the shaft, lean back into the seat, and adjust your stance to suit your own personal comfort. When seated, your weight is evenly distributed, reducing strain on your legs, knees, and back.
A removable rubber foot that covers the steel tip is also provided for hard indoor or outdoor surfaces such as concrete sidewalks or wood floors.
The aluminum shaft of The Original Stick Chair can be customized to any height from 27"-32" and folds down to just 14" in length for transport. The molded steel seat, which folds to become the carrying handle, measures 10½"W × 4"D.
