Just wet the brush and work up a lather on the hard cake. Even old, hardened oil paint brushes can be restored to their original snap and luster.
Brush Cleaner and Preserver works on most acrylics and watercolors, too. It gives off no harmful fumes or odors, and it's safe for use in the classroom or studio.

Comments about "The Masters" Brush Cleaner and Preserver:
I received a bunch of old but nice bristle brushes and revived them with the Masters brush cleaner and it did a great job of softening them and conditioning them. It certainly works with all of my brushes; both the good ones and the marginal ones.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Amazing product for any painter that truly cares about preserving and extending the life of your brushes. If you use this product correctly, and frequently, you can extend the life of your brushes indefinitely. I have brushes that are over 10 years old I still use today because of this product! Worth every penny.

This product cleans my brushes to their orginial state. It also cleans my hands and my clothes when I'm done painting. But, it doesn't stop with painting, I use this to clean up after gardening and when my husband comes in greasy from work, I hand it to him, too.
The Best Brush Cleaner Ever!!!

This product I use after every painting session to wash the color out of my Robert Simmons brushes. It does a nice job in cleaning out the color and after 24 hours of letting the brushes dry, it leaves the bristles shiny and conditioned. I have the 1 oz cake and it is enough for the time that I am using it. Overall it's such a good product and I recommend every painter to get this if you want your brushes to last longer. It doesn't take much to leave your brushes looking new again.
Great brush cleaner! Here's a tip..

Try pressing and twirling your soapy brushes into a 'Magic Eraser' type foam block cleaning pad. I think it helps clean them faster and better.
