Just wet the brush and work up a lather on the hard cake. Even old, hardened oil paint brushes can be restored to their original snap and luster.
Brush Cleaner and Preserver works on most acrylics and watercolors, too. It gives off no harmful fumes or odors, and it's safe for use in the classroom or studio.

Comments about "The Masters" Brush Cleaner and Preserver:
If I'd only known about this product when I started painting 12 years ago. I ruined so many brushes when I started with acrylic paints. Many more experienced artists gave me lots of hints about cleaning them but my brushes suffered. A friend told me about this brush cleaner and I was amazed after I tried it. I've since switched to oil pains and continue to use thus cleaner. I've even rejuvenated some brushes I thought were goners. I'm now comfortable buying more expensive brushes because I know I can keep them in great shape.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

It lasts a long time and gets out dried materials from well used brushes. It rejuvinates and extends the life of each brush.

This is the best brush cleaner! I've used it for both oils and acrylics and it always cleans the brushes extremely well. It keeps the brushes soft and easily cleans the dried, hard paint in your bushes and painting tools.
Great for restoring hardened brushes!

I work with elementary and middle school children who do not thoroughly clean their brushes occasionally leaving them hard from using acrylic paint. But once I placed the brushes in hot water and cleaned them with Masters Brush Cleaner and Preserver, my brushes are restored to their soft, flexible glory. I would highly recommend this cleaner for art teachers with careless students.

I use this stuff to clean my brushes, and after a good session of painting, this gets the job done.

Great! Slightly pricy, but it's really one of the only products on the market like it, and it works great. Don't expect it to fix ruined brushes, but it can return some of them to a more usable state, and it's certainly great at keeping good brushes nice.
Gets the job done!
