Well worth getting into this older technique of lining up a drawing to transfer onto a canvas, this was practised by most of the old masters in one form or another, and even modernists like Gauguin were doing the same thing. It's astonishing that you don't see more variations on this product, as even some fantastic artists are not very eager to break out the ruler to frame things up, like an architect would.

I like that it has both large and small squares in the grid, allowin you to transfer larger field drawing compositions or smaller gridded moleskin details.

I just wish that this product would expand to include linen and oil priming.

i used to block off my canvas but you have saved me this step now i can spend the extra time painting.

This is my first order for artist grid canvas because I just became aware of it. Can't wait to try it out for a realistic portrait, scene or still life. So I think I'll be buying more.

What a fabulous idea to put grids on canvas. It would save incredible time and allow for precision in drawing.

BUT THE LINES AREN'T STRAIGHT!!!

Please go back to the manufacturer and insist on quality control. I've never seen these anywhere else and would love to have this product in a form that was usable!
