Welcome to dickblick
This soft but dense foam brayer is ideal for stencils, printmaking, cut-outs, and all printing techniques using water-based paints. It features a plated steel handle and a solid wood core under the heavy foam that allows for smooth rolling. The handle opens for easy washing or replacement of foam.

Works like a champ, cleans like a dream
By Bad Girl Press

I used this to apply PVA to paper, and I wanted to control the amount of glue I used to enough to stick the papers together, but not ANY extra glue that might cockle the paper edges. This roller applied the glue perfectly...even and smooth. I had bought a replacement roller because I was pretty sure that once I used this with PVA, it wouldn't clean up well, since the PVA is non-reversible. I was so wrong. The roller cleaned up completely, as if I had not used it at all. The only criticism that I might have would be the handle, it isn't very ergonomically friendly, but that is such a small detail in an otherwise great product, and I can wrap it with something comfortable.

Works like a champ
I use the roller on my gelli plate and with acrylics in abstract paintings. The slightly soft foam is perfect. You can get a texture with it if you want. It is well made and rivals my 1975 hard rubber brayer in quality. I would never buy a plastic brayer handle after using this one. It washes out well, esp if you use master's soap and a nail brush. It is a keeper!
I'd like to have this brayer in half a dozen sizes.

I love this brayer. It is remarkably tough for a small, foam brayer. I've used this foam brayer for years and the foam does not break down. To keep it in good condition I wash it as soon as possible and if using acrylics I drop it in a bucket of water as soon as I am through using it. It is handy then to grab another one.
