Taskboard is the new board of choice for interior design and set design models, architectural, landscape, and topographical models, dioramas, industrial design, sculpting and more.
Similar in color to bass wood, Taskboard is a non-warping natural wood product that is biodegradable and forested from a sustainable source. It is also available in white. It is easy to cut and ideal for creating precise, invisible joints. Highly absorbent, it creates strong bonds with any glue, and can be sanded easily. Before painting, use three light coats of spary paint or spray sealer.
Taskboard’s ISO brightness of 62°/62° enhances shades, shadows, and details. Its unique pulp stratification allows forming over steam or by spraying water lightly on both sides; it regains rigidity seconds after removal from steam, or within 90 minutes after lightly dampening.

Great for sculpting and model making

Taskboard has a learning curve and experimentation is needed before good result are achieved, Once I got the hang of it, it was a pleasure to work with. See instructions before you start working.
Taskboard is JUNK!
from Northbrook, IL
Cant even put a piece of tape on it without tearing the surface. It is lower quality than shirt cardboard. Corners frayed and bent on arrival, but the product is junk!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Great Product and Service
from Butler, PA
I am using this product to represent concrete streets and sidewalks on my model railroad. It cuts nicely, and scores nicely to represent expansion joints. The surface is just rough enough for the texture I want.
NOT a Piece of Wood!
The description is incomplete/ambigous! This is not wood as I thought (just maybe wood by-products?). A planned outdoor project cannot be built with this regardless of how much painting and sanding is done on this 'board'. Very unhappy!!!
Merchant response: Taskboard is created with wood pulp. The composition is such that exposure to moisture or water will soften the board to allow it to be formed. It is not weatherproof, and therefore unsuitable for outdoor use. If you have any questions about our products, their properties, or how to use them, please do not hesitate to contact our Product Experts at 1-800-933-2542.

Very useful in making miniatures. Easy to cut, can be sanded, takes paint, stain, varnish well, doesn't warp. I just wish you still had it in the 1/32" thickness.

great for modeling. takes paint and glue very easily. comes in different thicknesses. has a very slight texture. sometimes a little too much spray (in a can) paint may cause very small texture balls on the surface but they can be rubbed off with a rag. overall, this is a super product

great product. easy to cut, paint and weather. lightweight too. takes most glues easily
I used this product to create a dollhouse floor. It is very light and easy to work with. I wish it were just a little thicker and warp resistant but It is overall a great alternative to plywood. In the future I hope to use it to create other things.

Taskboard. A mixed bag
from Wilton, CT
I purchased some of this for elementary art students. It is more "cuttable" than chipboard, but somewhat fragile so that small shapes or points are easily broken. Though the video suggests that it's easy to repair, I've found repairs to look pretty rough. The edges are easily "sandable" and it takes paint very well. It's fairly expensive and for some reason has a 2"circular sticker adhered onto the corner of each sheet. Removing the sticker lifts the first ply up so that area needs to be discarded or otherwise hidden in the final work. Seems unneccesarily wasteful.
