I already reviewed this product, but some time has passed and shown just how poor this product is. Throughout my exhibition, these clips kept falling off, chipped the glass and were the biggest headache of the whole photography show. Now I'm buying the corner clips version of this product to re-do the works I've sold.

I bought these for a photography exhibition and used them on a sandwich of glass, matboard and hardboard (masonite). They worked, but took a lot more effort to install than I expected. I love the way they look and would consider using them again despite their hassles. They're kind of spendy for what you get: four little clips that are probably produced for pennies.

I wouldn't recommend pounding in the clips with a hammer as the instructions describe. I found assembling the entire piece, placing on the clip, marking its location, removing the clip and making a small indentation for the pin of the clip in the hardboard with a utility knife to work better. Sometimes the clips go on differently with the glass and mat in the assembly. Several of my clips kept popping off when installed with the manufacturers instructions. After having to reinstall them a couple of times the pins can become bent or even break off. If you do pound in the clips, reinstall them in the exact same location.

Keep in mind how you're going to attach the finished piece to the wall. While you can use the clip itself according to the directions, I don't love that idea. Instead I drilled two holes through the hardboard and created a loop of hanging wire that went through both holes before assembly the piece, which worked very well.

A great alternative to expensive frames. I used them to display photos in a show we had Easy to install, easy to hang and cheap. They didn't make my photo look cheaper or more expensive, the clips let the photo do all talking. I would use them again for a show.
