Welcome to dickblick
Swiss Clips are an inexpensive, yet classic contemporary method for hanging prints. Just four small, spring-loaded, stainless steel clips will hold a medium-sized picture up to 30" × 30" (76 cm × 76 cm).
Use sturdy mat board, plywood, or masonite as backing, and framing glass or clear acrylic sheets as a protective covering (not included).
Each package contains 4 clips.

Comments about Swiss Clips:
The Nomadic Fungi Institute used these clips to frame document between plexiglass. These clips are strong and have a very small impact on the front of the frame/glass. Would use them again.

Swiss Clips are old school but a very valuable product. Could not find anyone that had them until I discovered Blick. Thanks for your professional support, price, and service. Great shopping experience. Thanks
scared to hang with nails
I'm worried about hanging it only with nails. The point is not staying in the foam board and I tapped it with a hammer, but it doesn't keep the point in. I have tried gluing it as the instructions suggest, but think I'll be using a string to tie the top to the bottom clips before I use nails to hang the 19x27" glass framed print. i feel better about corner clips and strings, which I've tried before.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Merchant response: When using these clips with foamboard, it helps to bend the springs slightly to reduce the clamping force, which will help keep the locking pins in place for hanging with nails. One of our old Swiss clips (used on a glass and foam board painting for the last 20+ years) was lost in a recent move so needed to replace...went to several frame stores and was told these clips weren't made anymore, went online and found these and they are just like the originals only newer. :-)

They are perfect for holding together a piece of glass, a photo and a mat along with a backing.

Descrete and easy to fit, unobtrusive and excellent quality (stainless steel).
Perfect for the Job

I'm making my own frames with plexiglass and masonite, and these framing clips work very well. They are minimalistic, with only the tiny tabs showing in the front. The print appears to be hanging alone on the wall, which is the desired effect. The only thing I might suggest is that instead of tying a knot to secure the nylon cord, some kind of binding clip or buckle, that you could pull the cord through, might work better - giving it instant tension, whereas sometimes one might lose the tension when tying knots.
just in a clip of time

I ordered these clips to mount color images to the back of plexi glass. We were looking for a clean frameless look for a welcome center interior. The clips were shipped overnight and i was able to mount everything on site. it worked perfectly
They are hard to find and easy to set.
For mounting posters. Your the only place I found that supplies them.
