Comments about Super Sculpey Living Doll Polymer Clay:
For years I used regular Super Sculpey in my creations, and recently I read reviews of different polymer clays, and I was convinced to try the Living Doll after seeing comparisons from other artists. My sculpts have never looked better. It's somewhat firm, which took some getting used to, but now that I've gotten the hang of it, it is great for avoiding dimples and dents in my work. It bakes evenly with fewer scorches, and blends nicely with Premo for different colors. I'm so happy I switched to it, and I feel more confident that my art is more durable for buyers.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

very finicky, broke often
By Spartan Potato
I used it for a simple sculpture of a character and had high hopes for it, seeing the good reviews on this websitep. Although it was soft and kept the detail, when I baked it, pieces immediately fell apart. I made sure to keep the thickness around a 1/4th of an inch thick, however once baked most pieces fell off, such as the head, forearm and feet. If I was making smaller sculptures or practice sculptures, I might buy this clay again, but I wouldn't reccomend making anything too big or putting too much detail in them due to the fragile nature of the clay.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Merchant response: It sounds like your project would benefit from the use of Liquid Sculpey to bond the pieces that don't have a large contact area. I use this clay to make fantasy figures and it works great. It kneads well and holds it shape well. Also, I can capture the details in my figures faces . I think this is the greatest clay for making miniatures and larger figures

Great Clay for Dolls
By The Hidden Hollow
from Villa Rica, GA
I use Sculpey Living Doll on my dolls and miniatures. It is easy to condition compared to many other clays, and it holds its shape well. Since I don't paint the dolls, using pastels to shade, the color of the clay gives a natural-looking skin tone. It also blends well with other clays. When blending, however, be prepared for it to be darker when baked.

Want to sculpt a "Living Doll" ?
By Judy Barclift Designs - Art Dolls
from Davis, CA
"Living Doll" polymer clay is a joy to work with. The flesh tones are very realistic and do not change color when cured. It blends easily with other clays, does not shrink or crack, and results in a strong, yet delicate looking final product.
