In the description for this item it is noted "Some assembly is required." Nope. It should read "Assembly required." You get a nicely organized box of pieces, screws, and even a tube of glue, but no part of this taboret is pre-assembled.

Product looks great and functions as advertised.

Somewhat disappointed in the drawer construction. Would like to see metal slides and glued or doweled drawer sides. I'm concerned that the wood screws will work loose over time and the wooden slides will become tight and stick as the moisture in the air changes.

This is NOT hardwood, it's all MDF and particle board. This taboret is a pain to put together, it comes flat-does not have precise drilling and quality hardware. The cam locks were not fitting to the shafts, could not turn two all the way. It's much darker than the image on the website, not a bad look but the picture should reflect the product.

I passed up getting a fully assembled actual wood taboret, not happy about that.

With three painters in this family, my two daughters and myself, this looked like a nice way to keep supplies organized. I ordered it for my older daughter's birthday. She loved it! The nice furniture look made it fit in out in the open. I thought it so nice that I ordered two more, one for my other daughter and one for myself. My husband gratiously put them together. His only complaint - the instructions are not detailed enough. He was able to figure it out, but it took a bit longer than necessary. The only thing I would change - I wish it was maybe one drawer higher.

I really like it now that it is put together. It is very fuctional. The only drawback to the storage unit is the unclear, overly simplified directions.

Very poor quality MDF. Piece of junk from China. I decided not to put it together after looking at the poor quality MDF wood used and after putting one of the taborets (sonoma taboret) together. I'm very upset because I also purchased two taborets which are also made of the same low grade MDF for the sides and top of the drawers. The drawers stick and are difficult to open. Two drawers are misaligned - predrilled holes did not line up. Any light hit or bump to the wood will scratch and chip the wood off. I wanted to write a review for the taborets, but the system is not allowing me to - there's probably a reason why - they would only get very bad reviews on the taborets. I'm a very loyal and good customer of Dick Blick - they should allow people to write reviews of the taborets, making customers make a better choice of what they purchase. Made the mistake of purchasing two taborets. [...] Honestly, I'll probably end up giving the items away. Do not purchase table AND ESPECIALLY DO NOT PURCHASE TABORETS!
