The Perfect Piece
By Rachel the budding artist
Comments about Studio Designs Ponderosa Table:
This desk really makes drawing a whole new experience. The tilting process isn't the smoothest but it doesn't ruin the process. Putting the desktop down is difficult and there is no instructions for it included. Other than that 10/10 would recommend.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Ponderosa Drafting Table
from Greensboro, NC
Bought the optional glass top to double as light table, Easy assembly. Had a couple of flaws in finish, which was disappointing, but not enough to return or exchange it.
Great desk at an amazing price.

I need a drafting table that was sturdy yet not bulky, versatile and stylish. This desk is just that and more. I am very happy with this product. The top is large enough for me to work and also have images taped next to the work. The drawer inside the desk are great for organizing. It would be great if the desk were a few inches taller. I could put an organizer underneath it but had to lift it up to set it in place. I bought the desk with solid wooden top.

A "good" Drafting Table
from Haymarket, Virginia
A very reasonably priced desk/drafting table. The addition of a pull out drawer is particularly useful for storing most drafting materials. Design-wise, the unit seems a little wobbly, due primarily to framing members of 1 x 1.75 in. for the legs. The adjustable linkage works well and allows for a good choice of table "tilt", however the drawback here is each of the top corners has no supporting member holding it; therefore exercise due care in not "leaning" on the top corners with too much pressure. In addition, the height of the table is fine if you desire to use it at normal desk height, but adding the pedestal to the unit doesn't bring it up to a good height to stand and work from. In my case, I've designed a new pedestal (which I will make) to raise the top surface a full 13 inches so I can work standing up if I so choose. Also plan to add a shelf 3 inches below the drawer to store large sized drawings and also stiffen up the structure.

Loving this table
By Paul Moore
The table arrived a week earlier than expected,had no instructions and the drawer was damaged but usable. Having read the other reviews... I was careful with the assembly. It was a breeze!The versatile glass top can be used as a light table.I immediately taped some reference pictures and notes to the underside of the glass and went to work. GREAT VALUE FOR THE MONEY!

Nice piece of furniture;

I think I'm going to be very happy with my table. It appears sturdy and was well packed for shipping. However, for those who may be planning to purchase this model be prepared for a few negative assembly issues. I am a retired engineer with many skills and much experience, so I caught the problem early. While the assembly instructions eventually get the job done, they are at best vague. For example, there is no indication on the back brace for which side is "up" . . . where you ultimately must attach the mechanical arm to support the glass top. Even if carefully following the instructions you may assemble it inverted and might not notice until later; you will then be required to completely disassemble all your work and start over (the loss of about an hour) to fix your error. Or, if you can, you might simply drill a few more holes – much simpler). I'm sure if the product were made in the USA, not China; the instructions would have been better.
