The glass top worked out just as I hoped. When doing calligraphy I can put a lamp under the table to shine up through my tracing paper layout allowing me to ink the parchment on top.
I like the storage drawers. The side drawers are plastic and small, but fine for my pens. The long metal drawer holds rulers and triangles. And there are plenty of holders on both sides of the table top. The overall size and glass top work well for a small space.

I was able to put the table together by myself. As long as you read the directions through before starting you'll be fine. Some of the screws look very much alike. Just take it slow and steady and allow about two hours.

This is a great table. I have been searching for something like this for awhile. Many of these types of tables are very expensive and too large for the space I have. This fits nicely into my craft area and gives me a lot of work space.

The only issue I had was when I was putting the table together. Some of the instructions are confusing concerning blk plastic brackets. There are no details on how they go on and what they are used for. The photos are unclear. Then they are decribed as metal brackets further in the instructions. Just in case you are wondering...they are screwed on with one edge going up on the outside edge of the table to attach the blk storage bins.

I was looking for a well-made, sturdy and functional drawing table and have been extremely happy with this one. Not only does it accomodate my drawing needs perfectly, it is a slick and classy looking table. After carefully studying the illustrations for assembly, I put it all together by myself in about an hour-and-a half. If you are taller, or just prefer a higher work surface, be sure and purchase the leg extensions. Can't imagine anyone being disappointed with this one, especially for the price.

My second desk purchased from the fine people at Blick, and I wonder why I even bought the first desk. This desk is amazing, hands down. Stable, sturdy, solid construction that you know will last, and easy to assemble (I honestly understood the pictures better than reading the actual instructions). I have been an illustrator for many years, and this desk is perfect. I especially like the clear top, makes it easy for a light tablet and to put reference photos behind. If you buy this desk, you will not be disappointed. My only complaint, being that I am almost 6 and a half feet tall, is that it sits a little low. Thankfully they come with leg extensions. Next purchase. Amazing desk.

I bought this table to do crafts and painting. This is a nice looking table and very sturdy. It took me a couple of hours to put together but if I would have been a little more deligent in following the directions I could have down it in an hour and a half. I didn't have anyone helping me but if i had of had a second person for a couple of things it would go even quicker.
I would recommend this table to anyone wanting a craft table.

This is a very attractive and solid piece of art furniture for a reasonable price. But be advised: Unless you're a real do-it-yourselfer, you'll have to hire someone to assemble it. It took my handyman 3 hours to get it together!The directions were not clear, although all of the parts: a myriad of brackets, screws and nuts were included.

I bought this because I needed a desk that I didn't have to worry about getting paint or adhesive or other messy things on. I like it because it will clean up easily, but it still looks nice and gives me a bit of storage (places to put my brushes and pencils or other small items). As a slight negative, the very top of the legs were bent (where the glass is supposed to lay when the desk is not inclined) on the desk I purchased. I was able to exchange it without issue, but it was still a hassle. Overall, though, I'm very satisfied with this product and look forward to using it for years to come.

The Studio Designs Futura Craft Station is a very nice table I don't know how the instructions would of been because I got the display model but the Table has lots of compartments to store all of your Art Supplies and it makes Drawing/Sketching, Painting more comfortable the Glass was a lot more stable than I thought it would be. It has a nice design nice frame the compartments are nice and stable also and the slide out drawer is also nice though I wish it came out a little bit more anyway that doesn't ruin the table the table was Money Well Spent.

I'm very passionate about Art in general but having this desk makes it very easy/ comfortable to draw. I'm a reformed artist who is just getting back to finding his niche. This desk is just what I needed as a new motivation for future projects.

This table was a good investment for me. Looks really beautiful in my studio and serves the purpose really nicely. I use it for painting illustrations and drawing. You can also put a light underneath and it becomes a light box! I would recommend this table for any serious artist. It took me and another person a few hours of work to get the table set up, but the instructions are clear, and it was shipped with all the parts.
