Comments about Strathmore Ready Cut Watercolor Sheets:
I loved the price and the fact that the paper is precut. But when I went to paint on it I realized that the paint wasn't drying fast enough for layering and I had to be using a hair dryer. It's like the colors were just sitting on top of the paper. They weren't sinking in. I realized that maybe there was too much sizing so I washed a sheet off under the faucet and let it dry. It solved the problem beautifully. The paper is great and the price is nice, just be aware you may have to wash the sizing off if it's too much for you.

This hot press watercolor paper was smooth and easy to paint on. I wish it came in more per package but with the solid value, I was able to purchase two packs.
Great Size for Card Making

I purchased both the hot and cold press paper. I love the smoothness on one side so I can stamp a good image. I use this paper mainly to add watercolor techniques to my greeting cards. Just the right amount of thickness.

I got tired cutting my paper to smaller pieces so these pre-cut watercolor paper saves me a lot of time, and it looks more professional too. Great for gouache and making tiny art for friends and family.
Can't beat pre-cut watercolor sheets
By Karen the doodler
I've started working on a watercolor from my photos. This paper is great it doesn't curl or bleed. I'm not the best at cutting paper for a painting. So this will do nicely for me. The price is very low for good quality paper.
Always great quality . . .
from Davis, CA
I use this paper primarily for water-based applications, including mixed media. The weight of the paper is strong enough to hold up to multiple layers. Strathmore is my first choice in paper.
Smooth and durable surface for mixed media success
By Mrs. Van Dresch

I teach high school art and wanted to provide a hot press watercolor paper surface for mixed media projects. Students have used this paper for pen and ink drawings enhanced with watercolor and even tea-staining. I love the size and and affordability of such quality paper. It makes a wonderful paper for mixed media exploration and success.

Worth a try

I wanted a paper to practice my watercolors as I didn't want to use up the expensive Arches paper that I have. Strathmore ready-cut watercolor paper is good, although I am not sure if it can take punishments like Arches.I did a test run with watercolor and colored pencils & I liked the experience. You can layer colored pencils over watermedia, graphite, pastels etc and the paper takes it beautifully. If you are still not sure, buy this size. For the price, you won't regret it.

Absolutely fantastic watercolor paper!
I had been using another type of watecolor paper that I thought I really liked - until I tried this! This makes blending so easy, it almost blends itself!

I love this paper even more that Arches. It is really strong to male the changes you want in watercolor. It also doesn't rip when taking off the artist tape. It is my favorite.
