I'm new to painting with watercolors. I have tried several different papaers and have had the best and most consistent results with this paper.
Inexpensive, but very good

I like the Strathmore 400 series pads & blocks for studies and sketching. I also teach and have found that some othger name-brand paper pads that students have purchased are just NOT up to snuff!

I use this paper all the time. It's completely affordable, and I have no complaints with the quality. It's quite sturdy and has a good texture. I would definitely recommend it for a range of water-media projects.
I encourage my watercolor students to get this paper and they are never disappointed. Good quality, holds water well.
