nice translucency, but annoying tendency to curl
I use tracing paper both as a drawing shield and for transferring my basic art outlines from one paper to another. In these processes, I have used Canson, Faber-Castell, and Strathmore tracing paper in search of the ideal one. From the perspective of number of sheets in a pad, Strathmore is a better value than Faber-Castell. Also, Strathmore paper is a little more translucent than Faber-Castell. However, Stathmore, like Canson tracing paper, has an annoying tendency to curl or roll up into a little tube when I use it for transferring drawings, and it krinkles annoyingly and sticks to my hand when I use it as a shield. In contrast, Faber-Castell has neither or these two annoyances. Therefore, my choice of paper is not clear. If only F-C paper was equally as translucent, it would be my first choice.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Excellent Tracing Paper

Strathmore 300 Series Tracing Paper is the same excellent quality that I purchased in the 70's. I use it all the time for sketching before my actual Pastel Painting. Carry On Strathmore!
Durable, excellent quality!

Sometimes when working in the studio and drawing a barn or building on my sanded pastel paper, I first draw the building on a sketch pad. I do this so I don't have to erase too much on my pastel paper which could cause a loss of grit. I then transfer the drawing to the painting surface using tracing paper. I have used Strathmore brand of tracing paper for a long time. I like the transparency.

Great quality, and very transparent.
Will keep buying this excellent product!
I use this product to place certain parts of my art onto wood before I burn it onto the piece. This way it is placed right before I complete the project. I make photo albums out of wood. It is made out of the right consistency of paper.

Misc tracing use.
Good for price

Don't use often, just sometimes to make a copy of line drawings...works well for this. I put graphite on the back to transfer to drawings to canvas.
