It warps weird if you use it wrong.
from Rexburg, ID
Comments about Strathmore 300 Series Bristol Board Pads:
I use it for water color, which was a stupid decision as the paper warps faster than the USS Enterprise. Basically its is good-quality fat paper.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Love the surface & strength of this paper.
from Winchester, VA
Especially love the effect of graphite pencil work on this paper. Quickly moved from thinner drawing paper to the Bristol smooth surface because the paper reflects the effort and the pencil quality better and allows for greater workability. I include this paper in the art packages I give as gifts to high school & college age art lovers among my family & friends.

The best with Zig brush markers.
from Chicago, IL
Great for alcohol based markers like copies, better than mixed media for water based brush pens like Tombow, (should try the vellum Bristol for that I was told) but the paper is very good, thick, and keeps the colors vibrant.

I love working with paper and for art that is mixed media this is the best paper. I like the large size in vellum which allows me to smooth out the colors with a pallet knive.Best price and material for the money.

from Simpsonville, SC
This is the best paper for painting with oil pastels. Along with the pastels I use turpenoid and a paint brush and the paper holds up great! I highly recommend this paper for oil pastels.

I've used bristol paper before but always the vellum surface. The smooth surface works well with pen and markers allowing them to blend cleanly. Strathmore always make great, dependable products.
I use these for acrylic, pen, pencil and watercolor. Excellent heavy, smooth, thick paper. Love it.
