The same great art paper that has become the standard for quality, consistency, and performance for fine art applications, Stonehenge paper is now available in a more permanent format — wire-o spiral pads.
Each pad contains 32 sheets of heavyweight, 90 lb (250 gsm), 100% cotton, neutral-pH paper that is acid-free and chlorine-free, perfect for monthly visual journaling or travel journaling.
The paper is suitable for mixed media, collage, wash, watercolor, pen-and-ink, graphite pencil, colored pencil, watercolor pencil, charcoal, pastels, and rubber stamping. The wire-o binding also allows for sticker inclusions or additions, such as small travel brochures, postcards, or maps.
The rigid, unfinished 70 pt covers invite personalization by the artist, while the durable, black, double wire-o spiral allows both covers to fold back for easy balancing and grasping. The binding also allows the pads to lie perfectly flat.
Manufactured in the USA.

colored pencil nirvana

The rip off pad of paper comes in many sizes, has a rough and a smooth side, and is perfect for colored pencil, pencil, or pastel. The rip off pad provides more sheets for the buck than the collection of colored Stonehenge papers in the pad. It is also thicker than Meitens and some of the other surfaces.
I use the Stonehenge pad for preparing sketches that help me draw/paint components for a finished work. I like the heavier paper as I can use both sides of a sheet. Super nice.
I use this spiral for a studio drawing class. It works great and is sturdy. The color of the pages aren't white, but it doesn't bother me.

Great paper with a lay flat spiral binding

I really like Stonehenge papers -- and I like the low-key craft brown cover/back on this pad. The cream color paper is really cream, which I like for botanicals and work in nature. (Where do you see bright white in nature?)

Stonehenge paper is one of my favorite surfaces for graphite; I also draw with Conte in this book. The heavy covers are nice, give it a solid feel for holding the book while drawing. I especially like the decision to leave the cover blank -- a clean, simple look.Would be great if they offered this pad with an assortment of mid-toned Stonehenge papers.

from Palm Coast, Fl
I enjoy using this because it is the quality stonehenge paper in a small format. My use was to make color swatches of all the prismacolor pencils .It keeps all the colors in a small easy to use and carry spiral pad.

Tough stuff, won't give up to erasures.

This paper is great for drawing, with graphite, colored pencils, pastel pencil, and I've used watercolor washes with this paper as well. It stands up so well, I plan to use it with other with washes too. Sometimes I get caught up in what I'm doing and I sometimes scrub when erasing, occasionally damaging nearly completed projects. This paper stands up very well to many erasures and to my occasional bad treatment. I use the 11" by 14" size in both white and in a great cream tone. The cream tone is a nice option for figures and faces. The only cons I can think of is that I wish it was a little cheaper. I'd like to use it in figure classes. But it is so nice and so tough, I figure, soon I may splurge. Also, I wish it came in a mid-gray tone as well.Oh, another thing is that paper has absolutely got to have a nice feel, for me to stick with it, I like for all the drawing applications to feel smooth. Also, I like for the paper to clean up easily. This paper is great for both considerations. I like it!
