Stonehenge papers for printmaking and colored pencil
By Patti the Printer
from Eureka, CA
I use the black Stonehenge paper for colored pencil drawings because it is a thick paper and shows off most colors very well. I use white pencil under yellows and oranges and some light greens. I like the fact that I can create a texture on the surface or keep it smooth easily by how I apply the pencil. I also use Stonehenge paper for printmaking. It is a very versatile product and reasonably priced. And it has a beautiful deckle edge on two sides.
Have Blick to pack it well
By BIG INK
from Easthampton, MA
This paper is very good for relief printing. I've used it for up to 10 layers of color successfully. Just make sure to tell Blick to pack it well or you'll get dents. If it arrives damaged call customer service and they'll help you out.
Still my favourite for coloured pencil
I love Stonehenge for coloured pencil work. It has the right amount of tooth and is sturdy enough for use with solvents. I primarily use Faber Castell Polys and Zest It solvent and I love the way Stonehenge works with them. It is also really nice that Stonehenge comes in a variety of colours.
Love Stonehenge papers for colored penci. Nothing works better.
Quick deliver and good product
from Philly, PA
I really like the quality of the paper. My only complaint is that it's harder to erase on the paper because it's softer. Other than that small detail, it's really great paper!
