Stonehenge is a traditional fine art paper with a smooth, flawless surface that is slightly mottled to resemble actual vellum. Use it for watercolor, printmaking, pen-and-ink, pencil, or pastel.
Stonehenge is machine-made in the United States, from 100% cotton fibers. It's acid-free. Each sheet has two deckle edges. Sheets are available in either a 90 lb (250 gsm) or 120 lb (320 gsm) weight, and in a variety of colors and sheet sizes.
Stonehenge is also available in 50" × 10 yd (1.3 m × 9.1 m) rolls, so you can choose your own size.

Stonehenge paper-a "cadillac" paper for calligraphy
By The Old Professor
from Moline, IL
The biggest challenge to a calligrapher is the paper she/he works on. It has to have qualities that are unique to only a few papers. Stonehenge Legion has two surfaces, A side is smooth but not glassy and the other B side is rougher-"dryer" Both are compatible for calligraphy but the A side is more sympathetic to clean "thins" and allowing for manipulation of the pen. Also the paper is available in subtle colors. The sheets come in "common" mill sheet sizes. The paper is easily "ripped" and folded. Although it is a superior paper because of its thickness, it is difficult to use it in handmade books, as they tend to get thick with only a few pages.
Bulk Stonehenge Printmaking
from Kansas City, MO
I bought bulk of this paper (25 sheets) and the packaging it was sent it was very nice. The edges of the paper were all protected with extra cardboard. Good paper for it's value compared to the pricey-er types like RIVES BFK or such.
This paper is the best!
from Central New York
I just love Stonehenge paper. I've used the bright white for printmaking and the black for colored pencil. It has a velvety and versatile surface. Price is very good here... I pay twice this at my local shop!
very versatile paper
from Olympia, WA
I've been using Stonehenge paper for several years, and think it's a great product. I bind my own books to use as journals, and this paper is ideal for this use. It comes in lots of shades, it doesn't crack when folded, and it takes paint very well (both watercolors and acrylics). Since Blick's offers a volume discount, it's also very affordable.Highly recommended.

Use to make art journals and as my go to watercolor paper.
Stonehenge for Screenprinting
Durable and strong for screen printing. I use the white stock for excellent contrast.
Great Durable Work Horse of a Paper
I am a colored pencil instructor and have used Stonehenge Antique White Vellum paper for decades, both for myself and for students. By far the most durable and forgiving (easier to lift or 'erase') paper, it has one down side, which is the fact that it contains unseen 'scratch' marks that show up when you layer. It take a pointed pencil to get rid of them, so if you have a light fine touch, you might want to try Fabriano or something else.
stongehenge kraft colored paper
from Mamaroneck, NY
Always buy stonehenge paper for my monotypes. I recently decided to buy the Kraft paper. I love it. I used it immediately and love the way my print looked. I create mostly portraits. The paper held up well after soaking. Stonehenge printing paper is quality at a reasonable price.
