Stonehenge is a traditional fine art paper with a smooth, flawless surface that is slightly mottled to resemble actual vellum. Use it for watercolor, printmaking, pen-and-ink, pencil, or pastel.
Stonehenge is machine-made in the United States, from 100% cotton fibers. It's acid-free. Each sheet has two deckle edges. Sheets are available in either a 90 lb (250 gsm) or 120 lb (320 gsm) weight, and in a variety of colors and sheet sizes.
Stonehenge is also available in 50" × 10 yd (1.3 m × 9.1 m) rolls, so you can choose your own size.
Color Chart Note — Use this color chart as an approximation of the real color. If exact color matching is necessary, use actual samples of the materials.
Handling Charge — When ordering sheets of paper or board larger than 18” x 24” in quantities of less than 10, a $3.00 per order handling fee applies. Paper or boards may be assorted to reach the quantity of 10.

A great paper for beginners or poor printmakers who need one paper for Relief, Intaglio, and lithography. It has a sturdy weight and a smooth surface.

I often use this paper for Watercolors, and colored pencils. It can be mounted to a wood cradle and is absolutely amazing. It's tooth is very smooth for blending, and it absorbs paint well. I highly recommend this paper.

I do large-scale landscapes and I travel a lot. The heavyweight Stonehenge paper is perfect. It allows me to work on large-scale paintings (up to 7 x 10 feet). The paintings are made up of standards 33 x 40" sheets which I can store and ship easily. The finished product - framed - looks terrific.

Excellent archival dry media paper!
By A Statistical Artist
I used to use a Stillman & Birn sketchbook, which is nice, but the price per square foot is actually more than this Stonehenge paper, which is even better quality. It is mostly smooth with a slight tooth, but can take layers of graphite, pastel pencil, colored pencil, or charcoal without feeling like the paper is being "burnished," in a sense. The 100% cotton content and archival qualities are also an added bonus. The one thing I'd be careful of is erasing too harshly, even with a kneaded eraser, as itty-bitty, almost unnoticeable clumps of cotton fiber might bunch up. It doesn't happen often, and I've only really noticed it with charcoal, and that's probably because I'm not fully accustomed to the medium yet.
This is the only kind of paper I use in my work. It is of the highest quality that I can afford right now. Nothing excites me more than receiving new paper. It means an entire body of work awaits birth1

I use this product for calligraphy, watercolor, colored pencil, pen and ink, and it work well for all of these. It is an affordable price, and I recommend it to my students for original work.

As a busy artist who spends lots of energy and time on her work, I really appreciate the quality and reliability of this paper. Having it show up on my doorstep in perfect condition makes it even better! If you are using prisma or any colored pencils, I suggest trying Stonehenge. It has the perfect tooth and never lets you down.
Stonehenge papers for printmaking and colored pencil
By Patti the Printer
from Eureka, CA
I use the black Stonehenge paper for colored pencil drawings because it is a thick paper and shows off most colors very well. I use white pencil under yellows and oranges and some light greens. I like the fact that I can create a texture on the surface or keep it smooth easily by how I apply the pencil. I also use Stonehenge paper for printmaking. It is a very versatile product and reasonably priced. And it has a beautiful deckle edge on two sides.
