Comments about Stonehenge Multi Pads:

First off, I'd like to thank Dick Blick for their reasonably fair prices and prompt shipping! So far, I have been ecstatic about their ample selection of products and service.

Now onto to the review! This paper has me hooked. I have lurked different websites regarding said paper and I was just sold when I had finally used a highly light fast brand of colored pencils on its surface! Its fine, toothy texture just invites more and more pigment and gradations, it's amazing. I haven't explored what this Stonehenge paper can do with watercolor washes and such, but I've heard excellent things about its non buckling surface when water is heavily applied on it. I really love the neutral tones; you can really apply interesting nuances and play with the tones of each of the five colors. I guess the only negative gripes are that the pad format isn't suited for journal-type drawing, because the binding is elastic, not wired, and Stonehenge isn't carried at any of my local art stores, so it's unfortunate to not have that instant gratification of a purchase, but overall it's a must buy! Just try it.
