I hung 80 paper-plate-based papier mache masks using quarter-size dabs of this glue to secure the string. Almost all fell down withing a month.

This is the 6th annual show like this I've hung at our school. I've never had this happen before, and have always used the more expensive low-temp glue sticks from my local hardware store.

This product would be fine for any non-weight bearing projects however-- the price certainly is right.

I use these with a cordless glue gun in my elem school art room for everything. These are big so there is no wasting time reloading. Wielding the cordless, I can throw work up on the walls quickly without stopping and best yet: no dealing with tape. Its worth it to buy a big box of sticks. Easy to pick off the wall later when its time to take work down.
