Comments about Staedtler Lumograph Leads:

I tried every top 2mm lead refill brand, and the Staedtler leads are the best. They have the least grit, they erase very cleanly, they sharpen very well, and the hardnesses are evenly spaced through the scale. I use them for very highly finished figure drawings (80 hours each) and cast drawings that take months. I would not think of using any other brand of graphite refills. The Staedtler holders are also my favorite - best weight and balance for me. Highly recommended!

These leads are really nice. I got them to replace standard staedtler pencils I was using and I cant be happier. Ive tried all sorts of 2mm leads and these are the best by far.

I have these leads in hardness ranging from 2H to 4B. I use the harder leads for sketching on smooth vellum, and the softer leads for drawing on paper. All the leads are smooth, consistent and sturdy.
