Consistent results of tone from lead to lead. Smooth application.

I love Staedtler leads, they are strong and the color is wonderful and just what an artist expects. This time they arrived in a flat container, which all in all is quite nice, however, I was used to purchasing them in round tubes that I preferred over the flat ones. These are the only leads I enjoy using and so I will continue to order them, I just wish they had them in the round tubes with each different lead numbers in the tubes. The tubes held twelve of each lead. I will continue to order from Dick Blick as they offer great prices.

Fairly quick delivery.

Compared to drawing pencils, I prefer this lead option because I don't have to shave the woods! The only con is that the lead is a bit pricy and you have to buy the holder as well (1 for each hardness), but the product will last for a good amount!

The lead quality is excellent! And the product is so much easier to draw with compared to a regular drawing pencil or the 0.5 lead pencils. You don't have to sharpen the wood; simply sand down the edges with the sandpaper block or buy a lead sharpener. The only complaint I have is that the lead is a bit pricy. But the lead lasts last a while!!

Not much to say. They are Staedtler leads. Doesn't get much better than that. IMO.

Staedtler 2.0 Lead
from A Maine Island
I have been experimenting with different size mechanical pencils to draw with, but Staedtler leads no matter the size remain my favorite. I bought the 2.0 to try so I wouldn't have to worry about wood pencils getting shorter and shorter. Plus there are many good grades to chose from. Most important to me though is that I haven't run into any Staedtler lead that has the occasional little piece of grit like some leads do. These have always been very smooth and consistent.
