Comments about Speedball Professional Poster Black Screenprinting Ink:
Super runny and thin – definitely DO NOT purchase this ink if you are pulling prints on paper using a 230 mesh screen. Which is a standard screen for pulling prints. Everything will bleed and look like a mess. Wish we could get our money back. Love Speedball's product, but not this one :(
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Couldn't be happier with this ink
from Portland, Oregon
The standard Speedball Acrylic Black has been my ink of choice for well over a decade, but as anyone who has printed with it knows, it scuffs if you look at it wrong. This results in what I like to call, 'the chalkboard effect', and that is no good.Speedball heard our opinions and answered with Speedball Professional Screenprinting Ink in Black. This ink is truly ready to print out of the can, has properties of inks double its price, and doesn't scuff nearly as easily as its older counterpart. If you're printing black, buy this. You won't be disappointed!

I have tried every water based ink on the market and found that Speedball's water based acrylic is the best for what I do which is creating fine art prints that have a lot of detail. I was really excited to see this product when I went to replenish my supply but unfortunately the results were not what I expected. I could not get a decent print with this product after trying many times. I switched back to their regular product and got much better prints. The bottom line is that for me this ink is basically unusable. I imagine for those that print T-shirts that don't have a lot of detail this might be a good product as it is supposed to be more durable but that's not an important feature for me.
