Speedball Linoleum Cutters are made of the finest quality steel with long lasting cutting edges.
Speedball Linoleum Cutters fit holders for standard Speedball lettering pen nibs. With firm printmaking materials such as linoleum, where a palm grip is needed, use them with the Speedball Linoleum Cutter Handle. With soft printmaking materials, a standard pen holder such as the Blick Pen Holder can be used.
Cutters are available in packages of 2 or boxes of 12. (Cutters cannot be assorted.)

Comments about Speedball Linoleum Cutters:
I thought I would give this tools a try, since I`ve had other Speedball supplies in the past and always enjoyed them. But the quality of this set was disappointing. After figuring out how to install the tips properly (the box came without instructions) thanks to the excellent costumer support via email, I realized some of the blades still wouldn`t fit in the handle; then some are a bit chipped, making them unusable, and dangerous. I decided to keep them in spite of all, using just a couple of the best ones, as I wait for a better set of tools I ordered.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Easy to handle. Good set of blades and a bonus that the blades can be stored in the handle.

versatile carving tool
from Olympia, WA
I use this cutter and blades to carve rubber stamps. I have three of the handles, so I can have three different blades loaded and at hand when I'm carving, which saves a lot of time fiddling around switching blades in the middle of a project. These are sturdy, well-made, afforable tools. Highly recommended.

I love that the extra blades store in the handle!
Great for minor projects
I use this inexpensive kit to carve into baked polymer clay.....in order to create textures, patterns, and an array of aging effects. I like the fact that the extra blades store right in the handle, so I don't lose them. And the low price makes it easy to replace blades that wear out or become dull. I would recommend this item to anyone who wants to carve into softer materials, not just linoleum.

I bought this as a starter kit. I am not disappointed. Two handles and a nice selection of blades (which store in one of the handles)! Great value great brand

Cutters were fine

Cutters work fine. They didn't fit into the pens I also bot, but that was not the cutters fault- it was the cheap pens. Postage seemed very high for the weight. I will probably not order from Dick Blick again.

Speedball Lino Cutters: not what they used to be
from Pinehurst, NC
This is a review of the product being sub-standard, not Dick Blick.I bought the Speedball No. 2 Lino Cutter Assortment from Dick Blick in the past and they were a great product.I recently bought 4 more packages for a class I was teaching. Only now the blades don't easily go into and out of the metal head that secures them. Seems to be a struggle and juggle to get them in and out.One of my students wasn't able to remove one of the cutters, and try as I might I wasn't able to get it out either.I let Dick Blick know, and they were wonderful about shipping new ones and giving me a FedEx label to ship back the prior batch.Only problem is, the new batch is as bad as the last batch. I tried to put a cutter into the head and was struggling with it, and once in it wasn't being held in a steady position: it was rocking a bit.Today I figured I'd try another one of the packages to see if maybe that one was better. The blade is stuck in there and can't be released.I have just sent a message to Speedball letting them know that I'm having a problem with the current "quality" of their product. Until this gets resolved, I would not bother with further purchases of this product. I hope they return to creating better quality than this, and if so, that this review can be removed once quality is restored. But until then, I'd look for other producers.
