Diazo Photo Emulsion Remover is more effective than bleach in cleaning screens used in screen printing.
Just apply the remover to both sides of the screen, scrub with a soft brush, apply again, wait three minutes, and scrub and rinse with hot water. Use the screen again and again. 8 oz (240 ml) jar.

Comments about Speedball Diazo Photo Emulsion Remover:
In the beginning I used another brand of emulsion remover. It was alright but it did have it'd flaws. Then along came Speedball and their emulsion remover is simply great. The best. Just bush on, work it in a little and POOF! It melts away like butter. Nuff Said.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

If you screen print, it's aq must.
This product is in a word, fantastic! I loved this stuff from the first time I used it. Your old stencil will simply melt off. I used another brand but no more. This product is for me and if you are into screen printing it's for you too.

This product works great! Very little wait time and doesn't take much to get your screen clean of all emulsion and ink.
It removes the emulsion.

This will remove the Speedball Diazo Photo Screen Printing Emulsion from your screen: do follow the directions on the bottle. I use a 1.5" nylon paintbrush to paint it onto both sides of the screen and also to sort of loosen/scrub it off. Spray water to clean and remove. Has worked even on emulsion that's been on a screen for years.
Works really well

I am always down to save money, and have used other methods for emulsion removal in the past, so I just wanted to see how well this stuff works out of curiosity. First, I found that being liquid, the stuff will be used up quickly if you apply it from the container. So, I used a (windex bottle) sprayer, and put my screen in a flat position. This allowed me to use as little as possible. So I sprayed it on, and let it sit for a minute or two and gave a light scrub (no pressure really). Then I turned it over and repeat. The repeat the whole thing again giving it anywhere from 2-5 minutes per side to work. Wow, the results were great. I think the key to using the product is not a bunch of scrubbing, but letting the chemical sit long enough to work. Based on this, I can highly recommend this product.
