Welcome to dickblick
For students, amateurs, and professionals alike, Simply Simmons Brushes offer excellent performance, dependability, and value — all at one low price, no matter what the size. They are handmade by skilled craftsmen to meet the same high standards that artists have come to expect from the Robert Simmons name.
This short handle Synthetic Rigger is crafted from a unique blend of multiple diameter synthetic filaments — ideal for work in watercolors and inks. With excellent spring, point, and color-holding capacity, it's perfect for producing fine lines.
The brush head is resin-bonded and crimped using a seamless brass and aluminum ferrule, which ensures a permanent fit that does not loosen with repeated use. The acrylic handle has a beveled scraper edge designed for paper roughing techniques and for working with masking fluid.

The brushes are great for detail painting.
Great shape, fantastic for watercolor detail
These brushes were perfect for very fine details on my watercolor paintings.
Eh, not that impressed
from North Carolina
I have used the number 1 Script brush and am not impressed. The fibers split into various sized 'clumps' while painting, and never stays together long enough to finish 2 letters, despite how liquid the paint is. It does not seem as flexible as it should. In fact, despite washing and attempted uses, there was a large sized inflexible clump of bristles in the middle that caused an issue until I finally (today) very carefully peeled the fibers apart. I works slightly better now but still not good. I'm absolutely turned off this brand of rigger/script brush. Shame, I like the other smaller round brushes well enough for their value. Maybe I got a lemon?
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

These inexpensive riggers hold a good amount of fluid, making long even strokes easy. These brushes are a good value.

Simply a pleasure!
from Ontario, Canada
This is the finest synthetic rigger I have come across. I used it with oil paints and it keeps it's point persistently and sharply.
