Comments about Pro Art Silver Lead Mop Brushes:
These looked so much like the brushes used for making card projects and the price was so good I had to try them out. Similar brushes are available at a much higher price for smoothing on stamping ink to make backgrounds and softly colored edges on greeting cards. Since there are six brushes in the pack I decided to try one for doing stencils as well. The stencil I used was metal and it was rough on the tips of the brushes but the brush applied color just as well as the expensive ones. The metal caused the longer hairs to be cut off or broken off but there brush is so thick with bristles it didn't diminish the effectiveness of the brush to apply the ink. As one would expect with a bristle brush some of the bristles shed but they were easy to see and remove from the paper as needed. The brush washed clean easily with warm water and soap. Bristle brushes always get softer when wet so these brushes did as well. I'm sure children would love to smear on paint with these brushes. They could also be used with colored shaving cream to brush on paper.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

poor quality brushes
By all-around crafter
from New England
Bought these for myself for 'dusting' ink on handmade greeting cards. They are a great size. However, the brush part seems to be pretty poor quality. Shedding right out of the box. (I only just opened them and came to write my review. First impressions you know.) As I ran my fingers over the bristles, more came jumping out. Time and use will tell just how bad they are. I can't imagine them lasting long with CHILDREN. And one of my brushes had some bit of glue on the brush. I had reservations when I ordered but was hoping to save some money. Now I'm not sure it was such a good deal.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Merchant response: Thank you for sharing your feedback on these brushes. Natural Bristle brushes need to be washed and dried prior to first use to remove any loose hairs and starches applied by the manufacturer. As you wash and dry, lightly tug at the bristles to work out any that may be loose. If you have any questions, our Product Experts are happy to help. Great for little artists
from Ashland, Or
I run a children's art studio and these brushes are perfect for toddlers. The short, stubby handle is easy to hold and the brush holds a lot of paint so try don't have to keep dipping it in the tray.

OK brush for the price
from coastal northern california
easy to grip for young preschoolers, delivers alot of paint in satisfying swipes but a couple of the wooden handles were cracked when they arrived and there was a small amount of shedding bristles in the first few uses. I hope this does not continue as the bristles are sort of thin to start with. They are an OK brush for the price. Definitely not like my dad's shaving brush though!! I would recommend to others for the experience but i'm not sure i am going to buy these again.
