This is not a good brush. The quality is very far below all the other Silver brushes I have bought over the years. I have enjoyed the Ruby, Bristlon, and Grand Prix tremendously. These are very poor quality. I truly hope Silver Brush enacts some sort of quality control over their brand soon. I need to replace my Grand Prix brushes which have given me several years of wonderful use. I thought these might be something slightly different - different spring and paint carrying ability- which yes they were- but in a very poor way. They did not keep their shape at all in their initial use. Their hairs immediately splayed. This poor quality has never been my experience with this brand.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Silver Brush Silverstone Premium White Hog Bristle Filbert:
The brushes don't hold their shape, the bristles splay out when acrylic is on them leaving unwanted marks on the painting. They are thin, there's not much hair in each brush & way too flexible. I have very old hog bristle brushes from my student days that are far superior to these. Very disappointed in the quality.
Merchant response: We're sorry to hear that these brushes weren't of the quality you expected. One of our Customer Care Agents will be reaching out to see how we can help.

Needed this for an online class I am taking and it serves it's purpose well. Exactly what I needed and very hard to find.

Hands down, the best.
What are the 3 things you want in an oil brush? 1. Soft ends, 2. Firm bristles, 3. Retains its shape. If you've tried any Silver brush, prepare yourself. This brush out does every single brush I have ever tried. Its quality is extreme and cannot be matched by any other brand, even other Silver brushes. Grand Prix? Bristleton? I have almost every single brush out on the market from top shelf kolinskies, to badger, horse hair, to hog bristle, etc... This is the best. It is so diverse and soft, it could be used with acrylics, and heck, possibly even water color. From extremely fine detail, to diversified skies, this does it all. Make this your work horse, or that brush you pull out of the special box, it will do anything.
