I've been using a cup to keep my brushes wet while painting for years, but cleaning the paint in between colors was always a chore and my bristles would curl, so I purchased this item based on mostly price. It was completely worth it! The ridges make paint removal much more simple and the brushes are propped in a way that keeps them in the water, but not curling. The slots are too small for my larger brushes, but the bristles are still in the water, so it really is not an issue. A great deal!

This is a must have accessory for anyone who paints. I bought it for use with acrylics, and it is so handy for keeping my brushes from drying out. The ridges in the bottom make for easy brush cleaning, so it is an all round great accessory.

I don't see much sense in spending a lot of money on something that's just going to get dirty, so I bought this brush bin. It's a lot cheaper than other brush bins and does the same thing. The slots for the brushes hold them in your water or solution perfectly without the bristles touching the edge, but that really doesn't matter unless you left them like that for months. Long handled brushes with heavy heads (like my Robert Simmons Signet broad size 12) will touch the walls of the bin, but with a little adjusting it's easily overlooked since that particular brush stays in there just long enough to soak overnight.
