Comments about Sennelier Watercolor Blocks:

This is the best paper i've ever used....have tried Arches, Acquerello, Canson, Dale-Rowney, Fabriano, Winson & Newton.... still Sennelier won its place in my opinion. This paper is finer than usual brands in general, gives it a rather "high-class" feel, and it can wipe off color easily to allow minor corrections while at the same time pigment adheres firmly and brightly after dry off. it almost doesn't warp in heavy wash.

The price is higher than usual brands but it totally worthwhile.

I only wish Blick can order more sizes for this amazing brand, like the usual sizes 14"x20" or 18"x24", for which i can only find in some UK suppliers for now.

I've personally never met a Sennelier product I didn't like, and this paper is no exception. I've only used the Hot Press Watercolor Block, but I think it's the best I've ever used--takes all dry and water media beautifully. I like that the formats are unusual, but would love to see the wide-landscape block in a larger size as well. Only thing not so great is that it's pricey.

This paper is better than Arches WC block paper in my opinion. I still use Arches the most, but if the prices would be better would use Sennelier much more than I do now. Probably due to prices and maybe not enough artists knowing of this paper, hte prices remain steady high. I also like smaller formats available from this company (which are not available from Arches) like like the landscape small block of 24,5 x 10,5 cm or 21 x 14,8 cm (presently not stocked at blick)...

I find this paper to go great with Sennelier india ink (with wash also) available here at blick or with Sennelier or Schminke watercolors.

I use hopress block with red side binding; different color side binding represent different type of paper block.
