I love this stuff as an oil pastel fixative, especially on Ampersand pastelbord. And whoever thinks it doesn't work or isn't effective, best idea is to give it a few light coats & leave it alone (i.e. don't touch or rub it) & get it framed.

Leaves an even gloss finish on Sennelier oil pastel drawings. Works great for what it is designed to do. Its a personal choice, to fix or not. I never fix chalk pastel. I have not found a chalk pastel fixative yet that works, however, this one does work on art created with Sennelier oil pastel. I only use Sennelier oil pastels. No other oil pastel is even worth working with. Just the opinion of an art instructor. Like all art supplies you have to try them to see if it fits your style.

I am a professional artist and have tried many fixatives for pastel. This is the most expensive and the worst. With many passes, the pastel was still not fixed properly.
