Welcome to dickblick
Today the descendants of Gustave Sennelier still create their extraordinarily luscious colors from the finest hand-ground pigments combined with pure, first-press non-yellowing safflower oils. They produce an outstanding collection of oils distinguished by a "satin" finish and buttery feel. The paints still entrance artists, just as they did when pioneers such as Paul Cézanne and Camille Pissarro first used them.
Many colors are exclusive to Sennelier, including Chinese Orange, Sennelier Transparent Brown, a range of semi-opaque Mars colors, transparent Alizarins, and the unusual Cinnabar and Cobalt Greens. Their Titanium White is considered to be the most opaque Titanium White ever made.
Every one of these colors is remarkably rich, vivid, and responsive, as only a Sennelier oil can be.
Oil Test Pack, Set of 5
This superbly balanced selection of five colors includes Alizarin Crimson, Ivory Black, Lemon Yellow, Titanium White, and Ultramarine Deep in 21 ml (0.7 oz) tubes. The tin measures 1-1/2" x 5-1/2" x 4-1/2".
Plein Air Landscape Set
The colors in this set have been chosen from Sennelier's large variety of oils for their simplicity and ability to mix a full spectrum of landscape colors, thus eliminating the need to carry a large number of colors into the field. The set contains:

POOR DRYING PROPERTIES
By Napa artist
from Resort location
I generally am happy with Sennelier products, but their oil paints have very poor drying properties. I found this out the hard way as I realized that safflower oil is used in their production, rather than linseed oil. So if you don't mind your paint drying at a rate of about 2 to 3 times SLOWER than paints milled with linseed oil, I suppose you will like these paints. I did not. Sennelier explains that they use safflower oil to minimize the yellowing typically found in paints ground with linseed oil. My opinion is that the amount of so-called yellowing is minimal that I would rather have paints that dry well than put up with long waits for paint to dry. One could use alkyd mediums or add specific quantities of drying compounds to hasten the drying time of these safflower oil paints I suppose, but these are ingredients I do not wish to use.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
First and only choice for premium paint
from Volcano, HI
Love this rich pigment loaded paint. The colors are spot on and the texture buttery.
Top Of The Line Safflower Based Oil Paint
from Houston, Texas
For safflower based paints, Sennelier is the top of the line. The array of color choices is breathtaking. The quality is unsurpassed. The only issue is the high price point but, as the saying goes, you only get what you pay for. For myself, spending a bit more on paint is completely justifiable if you're getting a unique color and top quality. Sennelier Artists' Extra Fine Oil paint delivers an incomparable painting experience. Highest recommendation.
I ordered Sennelier paint to attend a workshop

Sennelier is the best!

Painting with Sennelier oils is like painting with butter. They're beautifully smooth, mix well, apply "softly" either with a palette knife or brush. I only use Sennelier.
