Welcome to dickblick
Today the descendants of Gustave Sennelier still create their extraordinarily luscious colors from the finest hand-ground pigments combined with pure, first-press non-yellowing safflower oils. They produce an outstanding collection of oils distinguished by a "satin" finish and buttery feel. The paints still entrance artists, just as they did when pioneers such as Paul Cézanne and Camille Pissarro first used them.
Many colors are exclusive to Sennelier, including Chinese Orange, Sennelier Transparent Brown, a range of semi-opaque Mars colors, transparent Alizarins, and the unusual Cinnabar and Cobalt Greens. Their Titanium White is considered to be the most opaque Titanium White ever made.
Every one of these colors is remarkably rich, vivid, and responsive, as only a Sennelier oil can be.

Comments about Sennelier Artists' Extra Fine Oil Paint:
Much better than the oil paints I used when I was younger. sennelier does have a lot of specialty colors, however I usually just stick to 1 of each basic color-like 1 blue 1 yellow 1 green and so on.pros- great vibrant colors, professional quality paint, and I like using the same brand that other famous artists have used.con-I bought 5 colors in 200ml tubes and 2 colors in 40ml tubes. the 200ml tubes seem to have thicker paint. the 40ml tubes are more oily. looks like i'll only be buying the 200ml tubes from now on.so far it looks like sennelier will be the only brand of oils I will use.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

As a painter I am always in search of paints highly saturated with pigments. Often I make my own paint, but Sennelier has some hues which are unique to them. A few of those I find appealing for my particular purposes. Sennelier oils are creamy and rich, they thin nicely and hold their shape, when that is necessary. Of course, the greatest challenge with any excellent art product is the expense. Black provides Sennelier products for a very fair price. If you are interested in high quality products I recommend Sennelier and if you want them for one of the best prices in the US, buy from Blick.

The quality of this product is excellent and the pigment to vehicle ratio is very good. The product is a joy to paint with.

Everything I've tried of Sennelier is consistently good. Their oil and watercolor paints, their masking fluid in those nice bottles with needle dispensers. In this case I bought oil paint, as always, very nice.

It's a great deal that I ever had. It's easy to mix it with other colors.

I use this product in my oil painting. It creates beautiful greys when mixed with certain colors. The grade and pigment is by far the greatest.
Even though it is overpriced I am very happy with the qualit
As a professional artist I work with the best paint available.I started using this product about 10 years ago for Plein Aire and have been very pleased with the results.
