The design and shape of the tool set is really quite good. however, it stops right there! Too bad for you if you might like to actually use these tools though because you can rest assured the life expectancy per tool is between 20 and 30 minutes. I've purchased this tool set again and again many times over ONLY because I can find no competition that can compete with the design for even the soft plastilina clay sculpting in the market. I would love these tools if they were made a a quality grade more durable and flexible plastic. You can be guaranteed that they'll snap like crackers no matter how gentle and careful you may be. Just why a competitor doesn't step in here and fill this market void with a quality set of similarly styled tools is beyond me.

These are wonderful tools with great feel and versatility. It is important to know what material they are meant to be used with though, soft moist clay, wet plaster and Paverpol are examples. Plasticine and firm self- hardening clay not so good. The burrs are really not a big problem and can be removed easily as well as shaping the tool at the same time if necessary. Great value for the money if kept clean and used properly.

if working with dick blick modeling clay these will not work good for you they are to bendy when working with a tough clay i'd suggest using metal tools

Some might say "What do you expect from a plastic tool?" and my reply is that they not bend to the point of being unusable in most cases. I've bought plastic tools from another store and they were low cost and I still use them after years and I broke one but they were not flimsy and not worth buying like these are.

I like the shape assortment, but burrs should have been cleaned off at the factory. Be prepared to spend time with fine sandpaper before these tools are usable.
